SpendWise provides an online platform of educational budgeting, expense tracking, saving goal planning, and tax organisation tools (“the Service”). The Service is a personal organisation tool. It is not a bank, payment institution, financial adviser, investment adviser, accountant, or tax adviser, and it is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Nothing on the Service — including tips, articles, templates, reminders, charts, or calculated figures such as “monthly required saving” — constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. All figures are organisational estimates based only on the numbers you enter. You are responsible for verifying tax deadlines and obligations with HMRC/GOV.UK or a qualified professional, and for your own financial decisions.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have a 14-day cooling-off period from purchase. If you ask us to activate your account immediately, you consent to the service starting within that period, and any refund may be reduced proportionally for the time used. Contact us to cancel; statutory rights are unaffected.
You retain ownership of everything you enter or upload (budget entries, documents, notes). You grant us only the limited licence needed to store and display it back to you. You are responsible for having the right to upload any document you store, and for not uploading unlawful content.
You must not attempt to access other users' data, probe or disrupt the Service, share your account, or use the Service for unlawful purposes.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features, giving reasonable notice of any material reduction during a paid session.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your current session. We are not liable for financial outcomes, tax penalties, missed deadlines, or decisions you make — the Service is an organisational aid, and no saving or budgeting outcome is guaranteed.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales (or your local UK courts where consumer law provides). If any clause is found invalid, the rest remain in force. We may update these terms; material changes will be notified to active subscribers by email.
